As Unite America's Managing Director, Sarah is tasked with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Unite America Fund, an innovative philanthropic venture fund that seeks to scale the non-partisan democracy reform movement.
Sarah Higginbotham has spent her career at the helm of winning campaigns to effect policy change and elect candidates to protect the public interest. She has served in key leadership roles in government affairs at state and national organizations, working on issues including gun violence prevention, public health, voting rights and renewable energy, among others.
She has dozens of successful legislative victories in both red and blue states under her belt on some of the country's toughest issues. Sarah has served in leadership roles on a variety of coalitions and task forces around the country, and in 2018, Sarah co-founded her own consulting firm dedicated to leveling up statecraft for national impact and stronger social change movements.

Sarah is a proud Duck with a B.A. in Journalism & Communications from the University of Oregon. She currently lives in Washington D.C. and finds inspiration in the constantly underestimated power of people from all walks of life to effect meaningful social change through greater civic engagement.
